Identify your Body Type

Identify your Body Type

Most fashion magazines tell you to buy clothes according to your body type. According to them, you shop better when you know which shape, size and design of clothes you’re looking for. But how do you know exactly what shape your body is? You can’t ask people around you, it’s something you’ll have to figure out yourself. So some characteristics of each body type are spelled out in the following points to help you understand.

Hourglass Shape

If you have a defined bust, thin waist and defined hips, your body shape resembles that of an hourglass and everything from simple dresses to t shirts look amazing on you. Specially as your clothes fit snugly near the waist and it shows a curvy to-die-for figure.

You have a pear shaped body if your shoulders are narrower than your hips. That is, if you feel like your upper body is slightly lighter than the lower part. Defined thighs and hips are a characteristic with a smaller bust.

Good legs, rounder body near the waist and rounded shoulders are characteristics of this body type. Usually it indicates weight gain too if you were slimmer as a young girl.

If you have a small bust and narrow shoulders with thinner thighs and not a very defined waist, your body is lean in shape and you should opt for dresses that highlight your bust and hips and also opt for high heels as they give definition to your curves.

It’s simple with online shopping these days. All you have to do is Google ‘Dresses for ______ Body type’ and you’ll get so many options of clothes that are perfect for you and will compliment your body beautifully.
